A Pair of English Porcelain Crested Bowls,
Circa 1812-20
On the interior rim is an armorial bearing of a lion rampant between a leafy band and above an aqua-coloured band of colour between two gilt bands.
Dimensions: Diameter: 6 3/4 inches x height: 3 1/2 inches
Each piece is painted in sepia with a different English landscape scene to either side of the bowl. The pictures provide a wonderful insight into the British pre-industrial landscape.
